 The GLOW 2010 selection panel, consisting of Rita Gonzalez (LACMA),Lisa Melandri (Santa Monica Museum of Art), Aram Moshayedi (LAXART), Pam Posey (Sam Francis Gallery), and Jay Yan (Artist, GLOW 2008 participant) reviewed over 80 submissions and they were impressed with the quality and innovative nature of the proposals. Artist Anne Herlihy’s project, titled “Bella Luna” was chosen to be among the GLOW 2010 participants. Bella Luna is an homage to the moon and moonlight, and an extension of her art into an interactive realm. Participants are invited to sing songs about the moon and while they sing, they will be projected on to the surface of a large helium balloon in the night sky above.
